Employed Team Members
"...I joined Prince’s Trust Team 66 Leicester as an employed team member giving me an opportunity to develop my skills in a real environment, away from the workplace, to develop my confidence and leadership skills. Throughout the 12 weeks I have enjoyed being part of a team dedicated to developing themselves and preparing themselves for their next steps into a working environment, along the way making a difference to the local community..."
Team 66 Leicester, Sarah North, Catterpillar
"...I would recommend this venture for everyone who wants to build up their confidence, explore their strengths and to work as a team to complete various projects using each others skills."
Team 8 Coalville, Kate Fraser-Smith, Leicestershire County Council
If you're aged 16-25 and employed, you can still be part of a Prince's Trust Team near you. You will help unemployed young people find momentum, you'll help communities, and you'll even help yourself.
Team is an action-packed personal development course on which you and around 15 others take on a series of challenges and community projects. Along the way, you gain valuable skills in areas such as communication and planning. You will also pick up intangibles - confidence, focus, motivation - that bring immediate results to your workplace.
Unemployed participants spend 12 weeks on a Team. As an employed Team member you'll spend 20 days spread over those 12 weeks, including:
Your employer has to agree to you having 20 days on the programme which are discussed prior to the programme starting. The programme will also cost your employer for you to attend but the cost is minimal for a 20 day development programme.
Employers who currently send their employees on to Team programmes in Leicestershire include:
