STAFFING QUALIFICATIONS
Each Team is recruited and led by full time employed staff from Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service. We also work closely with various businesses who use this programme for their own staff development.
Each Team has a dedicated and qualified Team Leader who follows a code of conduct developed by the Institute for Learning.
All of our Team Leaders have (or are working towards) the following: Enhanced CRB checkPrince's Trust 'Team Leader' certificationFire Service Risk Assessment certificationCurrent First Aid at Work certificationLevel 2 in Food Hygiene safetyPCV driving licence (D1)A teaching qualification, such as: 'Cert Ed.', 'DTTLLS', 'QTLS Status', etc.Membership of the Institute for Learning (IfL)
Deputy Team Leaders
We employ two part time Deputy Team Leaders. The Deputy Team Leaders visit each Team curently running and offer support to both the Team Leader and the learners. Deputy Team Leaders are trained to the same level as Team Leaders.
Learning Support
For learners on the Team programme who require further educational support we have a fully trained 'adult learning support' worker who visits each Team and supports learners through their educational work, such as literacy and numeracy.
